Changing Rooms…
Alfie is now two years old and Charlie has just passed the 3 month milestone. As such we are moving Alfie into the bigger bedroom with a view to Charlie taking the nursery in the weeks to come. Alfies first night in his new room was more stressful for me and his mum that it was for him. We were worried that he’d be out of bed, a lovely little Thomas the tank bed it is, running around his room. As it turned out, apart from taking 10 minutes longer than usual to settle, he was happy to chill out and go to sleep in his new surroundings. On his second night in his new room I was really impressed. Alfie walked upstairs went into his new room and climbed on the bed no questions ask. I sat by the bed ready to read him a story and to my amazement I was greeted with “bye”, a wave and he buried his head into his pillow. With that I left him alone and he slept through the night.
Charlie is sleeping through the night quite well given his age. He usually has his last feed around 11pm and sleeps from then until 7am. With this in mind, and the fact he is tuning over in his moses basket I think it’s time he made the transition into a cot bed. We’ll probably try this in the next few days and see how he sleeps.
On a different subject, I’m still waiting to confirm the date for the charity auction but hope that you will be in touch with ticket requests in due course.
And finally, Alfie is this week going to try the insulin pump instead of using the insulin injections. As I understand it, it will be hard work making the change but what’s good for Alfie is good for me in my eyes.
