I remember when I was pregnant with my first child, I used to look forward to the scans so much. It made things seem so much more real, especially when you get to physically see your child, it’s amazing. It was also nice to know that there weren’t any health issues, which as any parent will know, this dominates your thinking during pregnancy.

I couldn’t agree more with ‘duncans’ sentiments here … I am single dad of a 5 yr old boy who resides with 40% of the time. As such, during those times my son experiences a complete ‘family life’ with myself, I provide and nuture him dealing with all needs, quite irrespective of whether this site classifies them as supposedly ‘mums’ domain or ‘dads’ domain. Proper ‘Shared Residence’ of children, must be the order of the day, rather than the one-sided feminist attitudes that so often prevails in the UK….all children have two parents and the best interests of every child are served by all children having a proper contiuation of family life with both parents, albeit that the parents no longer love together. One parent should not be sub-servient to the other. As ‘duncan’ espoused SHAME ON YOU !!!

Hey! That’s my daughter in the 20 week scan photo!!
Her nickname was “Vlinder” (Dutch for “Butterfly”), but in the end, she came out Freya. And as beautiful in real life as in the scan.
(By the way, you should have asked permission to use that image. Tisk tisk!)
