It’s a boy…

6 January 2010 No Comment

The scan was great. We turned up 25 minutes early for our appointment, we were both excited and had been looking forward to the scan for quite some time, and fortunately we were seen straight away. The midwife was really nice, she took plenty time showing us all the important development factors explaining it to us as she progressed. After confirming all was as expected she asked the question we had been waiting for…Do you want to know the sex? Yes, yes please was our response in tandem. Within seconds it was clear for all to see that we were expecting a boy.

In all fairness people talk about scans and about how clear they are but I was amazed at the detail on this one. It was the clearest of all the scans I have ever seen. The profile of our little bambino, from now on to be known as Junior, was a site to behold….in fact he has a similar profile at this stage to Alfie. I wonder if they will look-a-like?

One quirk of the scan was seeing junior drink. The midwife pointed out our little boys mouth drinking and it was amazing.

Away from pregnancy for a minute and a magic moment occurred today…..Alfie came back from his play group and he had made me a Christmas card. It’s Awesome. I will give it centre stage as it truly is special when your child makes you a card for the first time.
