It’s begun…

15 October 2009 No Comment

It was a Friday morning on which I woke early as we had decided the night before to perform a pregnancy test first thing. I gently nudged my wife to wake her to get on with things. We were both hopeful that there would be a baby on the way, so with anticipation we waited for the test to take effect. Moments later there was a gleeful look on Alex’s face. I automatically knew the outcome – I’m to be a dad for the second time.

That day started brilliantly but then came the frustration. After such wonderful news I quickly had to pull myself out of the clouds and prepare to go to work. Work was just a by-product on that Friday – all I could think about was the impending arrival but as it was early days not being able to share the news with my friends and colleagues was so difficult.

We’re here to make a difference. Superdads not only offers advice but we are her e to promote the importance of fatherhood. Many people are oblivious to the fact that Dads really do matter and this is something we’d like to put right.
