It all happens next month…
So here we are in the first week of March already. It only seems like 5 minutes since I was eating my Christmas dinner. Every year I seem to be saying that time flies by and I’m reliably informed by my dad that as I get older this problem will only get worse. Strange really because as you get older everything else slows down. Your body slows down, your life style slows down and the thing you want to slow down, speeds up.
Alfie is doing well following the diabetes trauma of February and is coping well with all the injections. We took him out to a restaurant last week for the first time since diagnosis and it proved to be a nice evening. We went along with the worry that he wouldn’t be able to eat much of what was on the menu but after careful consideration of what was on offer we managed to pick something that was allowed and he really enjoyed it – that gives me a good excuse to eat out more often in my opinion.
So as the title of this update suggests, we are only one month away from the arrival of our second son. We are pretty much set on a name now, which I won’t tell you just yet in case it changes, and we are starting to get things prepared. I do however still need to get the Car Seat out of the loft along with the Moses Basket and Cradle.
With 6 and a half weeks to go I find myself counting down the days. Even so, I have been told by so many people that their second child was born early so I might need to cut that count short if necessary. Either way next month is going to busy, busy, busy!!
So for now I will just enjoy the relative calm before the storm.
One final note – Congratulations to a good friend of Superdads – Emma, co-owner of www.baby-holidays.co.uk, who is expecting her second child!!
