Movies

There are hundreds of films that are about days or at least portray some sort of fatherhood but the ones selected below are some that you may enjoy watching with the family:

Mrs Doubtfire
Robin Williams Plays a fantastic part as a dad who is trying to see more of his children after being hit with visitation rights only.
In Pursuit of Happyness
Based on a true story, Will Smith plays the part of a Father who is down on his luck but has the determination to succeed for not only himself but also his son.
The Champ
What can I say other than get the tissues ready….even dads cry at this one.
Big Daddy
Adam Sandler plays Step-dad to a young boy who turns up on his doorstep. A funny movie with a warm feel to it.
Daddy day care
Every dad who thinks looking after several children would be easy…think again.
Daddy day camp
If you enjoyed “Daddy Day Care” you’ll enjoy this too.

Cheaper by the dozen 1& 2
How would you cope with 12 kids? See how Steve Martin copes in what is a hectic household.
Parenthood
Estranged relatives, raising children, pressures of the job, and learning to be a good parent and spouse. This film has all this and it’s funny too.
Three men and a baby
A classic!! As the name suggests three men are faced with the prospect of looking after a little baby.
Three men and a little lady
The follow up to “Three men and a baby” is well worth seeing if you enjoyed the first one.
Kramer vs. Kramer
A court battle for the custody of a child. Although it’s dated it’s a brilliant movie that will provoke many thoughts in your mind.
Mr Mom

I am Sam
A great film that showcases the challenges facing a father with disability.
