Snow joke…

20 January 2010 No Comment

It was great having a little bit off snow just as the Festive period kicked off. It really gave the whole feeling of Christmas a boost. It’s January now though and snow has been falling all over the UK. I don’t particularly like the snow because of the disruption it causes but I remember how much I enjoyed playing out in the snow when I was a kid so I had to take young Alfie outside to play when we had four-five inches of snow yesterday. He loved it. The crunching of the fresh snow under his feet fascinated him. He ran around in circles and although he fell down a couple of times he got up with a smile and ran around again. Great fun. After seeing all the depressing news about traffic chaos and the like it was nice to see the brighter side of the snow that is evident when children are at play in it.

My main concern about the icy snowy whether is that my wife will slip over in it. I may be a little over protective but a pregnant woman on the ice/snow doesn’t make me feel at ease. Hopefully now Alfies had his fun in the snow it’ll all thaw fairly quickly so I can stop worrying.
